Thank A Veteran Project

veteranThe holidays are quickly approaching and for some they can be the loneliest of times, especially for our Veteran’s. CFCE  is setting into motion a great way that you and your child can say Thank You to the Veteran’s for their service and to wish them a Happy Holiday Season.  We are asking all our CFCE friends to take time out with their children to make either a card, letter, or drawing to show our gratitude.  You can also check out some of the coloring pages from Operation Write Home, found below, to use!

While making your project with your child, you can explain just what being a Veteran entails, the sacrifices they made to defend our freedoms and to keep our country safe. Teaching children empathy, respect and gratitude are wonderful steps in raising responsible adults.  We hope to get flooded with cards, letters, drawings, etc. Once we receive all the projects, which will be due by December 1, 2017, they will be delivered to local Veteran’s Programs! Have fun, do a great thing, and teach your child about helping others! It’s a win, win for all of us!

Thank you, CFCE Staff

When you finish your project you can either:

  1. Take it to one of our community programs and give it to a CFCE Specialist OR
  2. Mail it to CFCE OR
  3. Drop it off at our offices

Please get the cards to us by December 1, 2017
