Yesterday at SHI CFCE's monthly Parent Child Program…Discovery Workshop….kids and parents honored our veterans and learned about the White Table. In this hour long program school aged children and their parents were introduced to the white table, a symbol for and remembrance to service members fallen, missing, or held captive in the line of duty.
For one family this experience was exceptionally moving, and mom said…..
"I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for having this…it meant so much to me but even more for my son…He cried a bit while setting the table up, for him it is so personal as it is for me, but for him to do this today was very healing"
